When we started the Cinemavino podcast, I hadn’t heard my voice since I started my own “radio show” at the age of ten.  Holed up in my bedroom, I pilfered a tape recorder and talked about my favorite movies (Ghostbusters and Stars Wars, as I recall).  I also remember talking about my baseball heroes, the Bash Brothers.  Hey–I didn’t know they were all ‘roided out, and neither did you…so zip it.  Anyway, it had been that long since I’d been in front of a mic.  This whole thing has been a learning process, and I feel we’ve come a long way in a short time.

If starting this website has been about doing what I love, then Cinemavino has been the social extension of that.  I want to extend my thanks to Taylor Owens and Travis Budd for adding their silliness to my own.  They bring a lot to the table–quite literally.

So, with this episode, we discuss our most obnoxious movie characters of all time.  A few TV characters spill in there, too.  After all, TV is the domain of grating personalities.  With the second half of the broadcast, we talk a little about ourselves.  This leads to a broader conversation about nerd culture, and when exactly we think it went mainstream.  We pair this chat with a delicious New Zealand Pinot Grigio, The Ned.  It’s a great, lightly floral white with balanced acidity and a velvety finish.  If you want to know more, click here.
